Custom Web Forms.
You are probably used to seeing those ubiquitous "contact" forms where you
are presented with fields to fill out followed by a "Submit" button to send
that information off for a response. These are common for basic "Contact
Us" forms however a more extensive form can be a handy tool to collect specific
information. We include the basic form at no additional cost for all
of our web customers.
If you have to know certain specifics from a customer in order to best serve
their needs, a basic form often will not suffice. Leaving a visitor with
a blank text field to fill out without any direction can waste your time
and theirs by having to engage in additional communications to finally obtain
the information you really need. A custom form can ask specific questions
and require a response in order to continue. In effect you can interview
a client via your web forms to be sure they are providing you with exactly
what you need to know in order to proceed with their inquiry. We suggest
these types of forms be in addition to, and not replace the more basic contact
form.
Security note: Forms submitted via the web can be secured from your
viewer's browser to the web server but when delivered to you as an email,
they are NOT secured when you download the message. On your end they are
just another email. Don't use a standard web form to request credit card
or social security numbers. There are other options to these forms
to provide more security to your customers.
